Title: Dissections of the fore part of the leg and foot
Description: A dissection of a leg to show the muscles, nerves, veins and arteries. The figure shows the left leg from the knee down, with the skin peeled back from the leg and ankle. Several hooks are used to make parts of the leg more clearly visible. Another smaller figure shows the tendons and arteries in the foot. The text gives a description of how to prepare and perform the dissection, and the location and appearance of the muscles, nerves, veins and arteries. The rest of the volume deals with the anatomy of the human body, its observation through dissection, and signs of disease. It contains a number of other illustrations taken from dissections, and detailed descriptions of the parts of the body and their appearance.
